Oxford Clinic Women's Health is where the city's most highly respected gynaecologists and obstetricians share both consulting rooms and expertise.

A centre of excellence in reproductive and fetal medicine, we aim to offer the highest standard of care and to make patients and their families feel comfortable and secure in our care. The centre offers a high standard of general gynaecology as well as gynaecological oncology and advanced gynaecological endoscopic (keyhole) surgery.

We run several gynaecology-related clinics:

  • Endometriosis Centre
  • Menopause and Mid-Life Women's Centre
  • Physiotherapy Centre

Within the Centre a full range of obstetric care services are available. These include:

  • Pre-pregnancy counselling
  • Antenatal consultation
  • Antenatal cytogenetic diagnostic expertise
  • Intrapartum (delivery) care
  • Postnatal consultation

Our team approach in this highly specialised clinical practice ensures better results for our patients. By sharing our knowledge, we have developed new techniques and new operating procedures to assist our patients to recover more quickly. Similarly a commitment to cooperative research ensures academic contribution continues internationally.

Our Specialists

We have a team of nine specialists, and their nurses and support staff. Further details on our specialists are found under the "Medical Specialists" menu above.

A Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgical Fellowship in collaboration with Christchurch Women’s Hospital was established in 2003.

Our Nursing Staff

Our nursing team work closely with the specialists to provide the best possible patient care. They enjoy patient contact and invariably form strong bonds with those patients whose care or association with the practice is long-standing.

Our nurses all have extensive knowledge of gynaecological and obstetric problems and are often able to provide an informed, innovative response to patient inquiries.
